Palette Parade!

Palette Parade!

Our official grand opening is just around the corner, and - if you've been following us on social media - you know we've started a countdown to the new year with themed weeks! This week, we're spotlighting something special: Palettes!

I know what you're thinking: "Jordan... isn't Grain and Butter a quilting and craft shop? What do palettes have to do with sewing?"  Great question - and I'm glad you asked!

To create top-of-the-line, custom quilts and handmade goods, Grain and Butter will be offering a variety of color (and eventually fabric-pattern) themes, which we are calling palettes. These palettes allow you to customize your order in a way that feels personal, intentional, and beautifully unique.

Before we dive in, here's a quick note on how palettes work:

The colors you see are inspiration guides, not exact fabric swatches. Because every quilt is handmade and dependent on current fabric availability, shades and patterns may vary. However, the overall mood, balance, and tone of the palette will stay true to the original theme. Think of each palette as the heart of the design - and the fabrics as a way we bring that heart to life.

So what does a Palette look like in a finished quilt?

Here's a quick walk-through of how a palette becomes a real, cozy quilt you can stay warm under.

Below is the "Southern Belle's Bouquet" palette - soft roses, gentle greens, dusty corals, and a small pop of creams. This Palette sets the mood and tone, but isn't a rigid paint-chip match.

Here is how that palette transformed into an actual "Sashy Lady" quilt top:

As you can see, each slice of pie can be found in the range of fabrics - solids, florals, and many other designs. This allows every quilt to feel intentional and cohesive while still having its own personality.

In conclusion, this means you're getting something better than a strict color match - You're getting a curated, one-of-a-kind quilt designed around the ambiance you choose!

If you loved "Southern Belle's Bouquet" palette, you'll love the next 4, launching on all socials tomorrow!

We'll see y'all there tomorrow!
