Beating the Heat

While the temperatures skyrocket, and going outside is less of an option for us to play, the toddler’s energy levels are noticeably more volatile. So we’ve been trying to get creative. Instead of parks, we’ve visited local museums or libraries for story time. We’ve gone to the pools and splash parks when the UV index isn’t as bad. And thank God for the local indoor playground. 

When at home we’ve colored, and painted. We help Pawpaw with watering the garden and the chickens - though I think we end up watering ourselves more than the plants. We’ve also had many baby raves and dance parties to “baby shark” and “head, shoulders, knees and toes”.

The heat may not stop anytime soon - But neither will we.
